Overview
SciPro is partnered with a clinical-stage life sciences company preparing for the launch of a first-in-class therapy addressing a significant unmet need in autoimmune disease. The company is building a national team of Physician Engagement Leads to support pre-approval readiness and, following approval, drive successful commercial adoption.
This is a unique opportunity for healthtech-aligned MDs to apply their experience influencing physician behavior, driving adoption, and supporting implementation in a launch-stage biopharma environment. The role is non-promotional prior to FDA approval, with goals focused on physician engagement, institutional readiness, and long-term launch success. Post-approval, the role transitions into a commercially accountable position, with ownership of utilization and outcomes at the sites where relationships have been built.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Launch Phase (Non-Promotional)
- Establish and maintain trusted, peer-level relationships with influential physicians across academic and community settings
- Lead scientific and clinical discussions focused on unmet need, evolving standards of care, and future treatment paradigms
- Support research collaborations and institutional engagement in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Prepare physician sites and care teams for future adoption through education, workflow alignment, and relationship-building
- Capture and synthesize field insights to inform launch strategy and prioritization
- Represent the organization at conferences and professional meetings
Post-Launch Phase (Commercial Transition)
- Translate early physician relationships into measurable commercial impact at key accounts
- Drive appropriate adoption and sustained utilization of the therapy
- Act as a strategic partner to physicians and institutions to support access, coverage, and continuity of care
- Measure success through outcome-based metrics
- Continue building long-term physician partnerships across the product lifecycle
Qualifications
- MD required
- Strong alignment with healthtech, digital health, or clinician-facing technology adoption
- Experience working directly with physicians to implement new tools, platforms, or care models
- Demonstrated ability to influence physician behavior and drive measurable adoption outcomes (e.g., utilization, enrollment, active use)
- Background in healthtech commercialization, business development, or clinical strategy strongly preferred
- Highly credible with physicians; able to engage as a peer
- Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable in a high-visibility, fast-moving environment
- Willingness to travel approximately 50%
